I hired Mike in the summer of 2013 to build my fence. He was able to give me a quote right away and was very easy to talk to. He helped me figure out what I wanted which I appreciated since I don’t know much about fences or wood! I was very impressed with how quickly he was able to come in. My fence turned out perfectly and he even came back to fix a couple issues I had with being able to get in through the gate. I would definitely recommend Mike and his company for any projects you need done!

We can honestly say working with Mike was the best decision we made when it came to building our deck extension.  We already had a clear vision of what we wanted it to look like and Mike definitely delivered.  His workmanship and attention to detail is great and he always took the time to make sure, at the end of each day, we were happy with his progress.  We love our deck and are looking forward to enjoying it this summer (and many summers to come)!

This year we decided to replace our aging and broken deck and happened along the Big Mike's Contracting website.  Not long after filling out the contact form requesting a quotation, Mike contacted me and the job was soon underway.  Mike was very accommodating, helping us with the material and colour selection.  He took care of the permitting process with the City, and the work itself was done quickly and on time. When he was done, there was no mess left at all.  He was true to his quote and provided a very personal service.  I would not hesitate to use Big Mike's Contracting again and to recommend his services to my family, friends and neighbours.

We had the neighbour on the right side of our property change the fence. He hired Mike Gaudet from Big Mike’s Contracting Inc to set up a new fence on his property. Our 36 year old fence bordering our property was torn and fully replaced by a new pressure treated wood fence within 3 days. The job was done efficiently, and the quality of the finished fence was superb. This created a problem for us. We now had a fantastic new fence to the right,that made the other two fences look so much older and worse in comparison. I knew we had a problem because the neighbour on the back side of our house would be a tough sell on getting a new fence due to a a dispute created by the trees shedding leaves on to his property. So we wrote a letter to the two adjoining neighbours and as anticipated the neighbour on our back side of the house did not agree to replacing the old fence. He said we could build the new fence on our side of the property. We explained the dilemma to big Mike and he negotiated with the objecting neighbour and convinced him to take down and replace the old original fence with a new one. Mike Gaudet is a top negotiator and an expert fence builder. Our new fence went up in 3 days and the work was done done extremely well. During the process of changing the fence there was a casualty of a broken furnace exhaust pipe that Mike quickly replaced. Mike fully cleaned up the debris from the old fence and the experience was very good. We highly recommend Big Mike if you are in need of a new fence. You will not be disappointed. Who would have thought that by replacing and old fence would make better neighbours... Thanks Mike! You are a gem!
